"Team GrannyStrike was founded in 1999, a few months after the release of CounterStrike.
The leader of the team, Gudrun Jensen, learned about the game through her 20 year old grandchild Bob. She was amazed by the game immediately and in no time she was hooked. Unfortunately she had no one to team up, so she introduced the game in her knitting club.
In the beginning the interest from the members was limited, and they only played it for short periods of time when they where gathered anyway. But over time the knitting club turned into a CounterStrike club, and the knitting gear was replaced with keyboards and headsets."
