Prey

GamesSo I finally finished the game the other day and whilst I found it appealling in the beginning, what with the whole abduction scene as they played 'Don`t Fear The Reaper' by Blue Oyster Cult...the game began to bore me slightly as it went on.

Tomasi, the main hero of the day, had a silly voice and really came across as a wimp sometimes, and one with Tourettes at that....but in the end he perservered and managed to defeat everything thrown at him...

There are some really good graphically designed sections and sometimes I just sat staring at the textures on the wall whilst I heard the Red Indian babe wailing in the background "Tomiiiiiiiiiii !!!!! Saaaaave meeeeeeee". I think the big problem the aliens made was forgetting to gag her with some duct tape before letting her go joy-riding all over the place...

Towards the end the action picked up with some serious puzzles to solve before you could move on to kill The Seeker and regain your spirit world that got trashed by the aliens...Hey, I enjoyed playing it till the end, most games I get halfway through and go watch TV or something, for example "Far Cry", another game I picked up had a few moments with ..

I would dig to play Prey multiplayer with a truckload of bots and a bunch of humans, which leads me to think we should have a proper LAN soon....

LAN is a great idea! Tip to evryone that plays Prey, when the game ends and the credits role, finish watching the credits (don't press any key) for a nice surprise at the end..

This game definitely rocks! What uKrease forgot to mention is that it brings a whole new dimension or two into the FPS genre, as you are not limited to the ground alone. In some places you'll find yourself walking on walls and even ceilings.

It is so weird shooting at creatures standing on walls and ceilings, instead of just shooting at things on the ground or air.

Finished the game about a month ago, and I'm ready to try it on Cherokee (godmode) difficulty.

Toooommmiiiiii!!!! EEeeeeeeeeeekkk!!!!!
