Kid of Speed : The Chernobyl Story

A while back, Smotter sent me a link about a girl who got on her bike one day and took a ride into the heart of where the Chernobyl meltdown occurred 20 years ago.I started to read the first chapter of her travels, and 9 hours and 14 browser tabs later sat in silence in front of my pooter. This story, if you read it all, will take you to places and make the grey matter upstairs rethink a few things. What those things are, I cannot tell you, read the story and see for yourself.
Elena, the woman who tells the story, generated a lot of interest from around the world as her story was told on her site, from anti-nuclear activists to some big corporates punting for the increase in the use of nuclear energy. I for one couldn`t tear myself away from the monitor as I followed the story that she tells, found myself reading other sites about nuclear energy, watched the videos taken in the days following the meltdown from the rescue and scientific teams sent in to clear things up. Awesome reading.
Head on over to Kiddofspeed Dot com and take some time reading the chapters...I found it most interesting indeed.
